What it is
Promanda helps agencies start projects. It researches the client and their competitors, asks the right questions, and drafts a brief the team can export. The backend runs LangChain and OpenAI pipelines on FastAPI with Redis workers. I worked on the React and TypeScript app.
What I did
- Set up the first version of the frontend: routing, loading states and project structure.
- Streamed AI generation over server-sent events, including regenerating a whole brief.
- Built the client dashboard with competitor data, the Business Insights step, and the project page with document upload.
- Added plan checks on paid features, a pricing and downgrade modal, and a deep-link payment flow with analytics.
- Built a real-time support chat widget and PDF export for briefs.
Hard parts
Streaming instead of waiting
Brief sections stream in as the model writes them. Regenerating everything streams too, rather than firing parallel requests at the API.
Paid features that explain themselves
Every paid feature checks the user's plan. Downgrades and free-plan edge cases are handled in the UI, so users see why something is locked and how to unlock it.
